Side Trim Holes On EG Civic

Hello, I wanted to know what's the best way to fill the factory side trim holes?

This is what the holes look like:

I want them to look like this after:

The best way is to weld them shut, but you could use panel adhesive and a piece of metal to close the hole.

just putting bondo over the holes usually fails so i would stay away from that.
