Default is this worth the effort?

First off, I know this isn't the correct section for this question, but the reason I'm posting here is because some members may remember details of my turbo builld, which will begin in feb/march. My current car is a 99 civic 4 door sedan. It came with a b16, so its an oriiginal vtec. Now this has come up:

These 2 door sedans are more scarce than hens teeth in South Africa, so passing up the opportunity to own one is tough. Plenty 2 door hatches though. Its a legal import, but because I've never seen one in the flesh, although I've ALWAYS wanted one, I know nothing about them. Offhand, I know this is pre-facelift, being a 96 should have bumper mouldings. This one seems to have had all the mouldings shaved. It has no rear brake disks, unlike mine, but it does have dual airbags where mine has drivers only. In SA only the 99/2000 had any airbags, drivers side only. It doesn't have cuphoders where mine does, which is more like the SA pre-99.

My car. Please ignore the wing, this is an old pic:

Bottom line is that I need to know interior and exterior cosmetic and mechanical differences between my 4 door 99 and this 2 door 96. Its tough giving up a newer facelift car, but this 2 door looks soooo hot. What will I need to bring it up to my 99's spec level? Most important, will everything I purchased for my b18c turbo conversion fit into this one as it would have on my 4 door?

BTW, for those who remember my previous dilemma, I've gone NepTune with wideband, RD1 and 1000cc ID's.

No real differences in the interior except of course the back seats, trunk and rear exterior. Everything else fits the same as your 4 door by way of engine bay layout and front dash/console.

Yup I agree its all the same. Disk brakes are heavier. Your engine will fit the same in both cars with the right mounts. Ill take the 2 door that 4 door looks like ***.

Bar the obvious rear quater panel, tail lights, rear windsield and boot lid, would the entire front end on the 2 door sedan including headlights, fenders, doors, rubbers/weatherstrips, windshield, glass, etc, all be the same as a 2 door hatch? Will the rear quater glass on the 2 door sedan be the same as on the 2 door hatch.

I have noticed that the bootlid and tail lights on the 2 door sedan aren't the same as the 4 door sedan, but are the carpets inside the boot, including the moulded ones behind the tail lights the same between the 2 and 4 door sedans? How about the rear windshield between the 2 and 4 door sedans?

Effectively I'm saying, considering that you get a 4 door sedan and both the 2 and 4 door hatch in SA, will the only parts that I could not source locally be the 2 door sedans tail lights and bootlid.

you need to kind of see the obvious stuff here. If it appears to be different (meaning a rear windshield or rear windshield as part of the back doors, which makes a 4 door not a 2 door, then obviously they are different.

What do we mean by "the same"
We're talking about from the dashboard through the engine bay etc is all the same. Everything else behind that driver and passenger side doors on the front seat are completely different from a 2 door. Its what makes a 2 door not a 4 door...

At this point you're no longer forced induction, and you need to go the appropriate section of the forum. Once you start talking about aesthetics, go to the other forums to get your ideas out on the floor.
