Default First build thread!! B20b Da!

What I've done so far is pulled the motor out my Db2 and using that gsr tranny in my db1..and pulled my motor out my db1!! Took me almost 8 hours just to pull both motors out the car today! Since I already have the tranny out what kind of clutch kit you guys suggest for a DD/ street use? And should I paint my tranny silver or just degreased it n clean it up?

How we end the night!!

Family helping taking sh*t apart off the db2!

More to come! I'm goin to clean the engine bay up tomorrow after work n not going to drop the motor in yet untill I decide on which clutch I'm goin to get!!

Parts I got so far-
Skunk 2 pro series intake manifold-
Type r exhaust headers
Gs-r tranny
N the cheap eBay F1 racing clutch..idk if I trust it now since I've read alot of reviews on it...do you guys think the oem specs exedy clutch will do good? Or the act 4/6 puck?
And for the air intake how would a custom 3 inch mandrel bent sounds?
This is my first build so opinions and advise would be nice and I do planning on doing vtec after I do my suspension up first..

An OEM replacement Exedy is a great clutch. And you shouldn't worry about how an intake is going to sound, you should be worried about how it's going to perform.

Yeah I'm not worried about the sound..just wanting to know about performance wise vs aftermarket ones...I can get my uncle to mandrel bend me one for a good price...basically I'm just payin for the pipes...

An intake is an intake really, but I would make it the length of the stock intake. And maybe make a sheet metal box for the filter if you know what I am talking about?

I figured it out...the canister isn't on the block but it's on top of the valve cover!

I had the same problem with my crank pulley bolt. You can just have a friend step on the brakes with it in 5th gear to break it lose, luckily for me I have the crank pulley tool. You just need to borrow a good impact gun from someone. I have an old snap-on one and it wouldn't break it loose, I borrowed my buddies brand new ingersol rand and it broke loose instantly.

Just the stock head right now...I have a jdm b16 on the side...that I wanna build on the when I go b20v...thing is I don't really know how to take apart the head and re assemble it back so that's gonna cost me labor.
