ek/eg/ef pic coilover body
Hi guys, I was wondering if the actual coilover body length is the same between these cars, and the difference is the lower mounts and top hats?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Ok, so its really only the lower mounts and top hats that are different on the ef application then in terms of overall length? I realise that ef has smaller pistons and such if i remember correctly....
to clarify I was meaning PIC as in the coilover company

if you're talking aftermarket, then it would depend on the aftermarket company if they were using the same stock shock design or if they are using a shorten shock body design.
stock for stock, the whole shock assembly is shorter then a ek/eg. the top hats are actually interchangeable between the ef/eg (have never tired this with a ek so not 100% sure). and the shock forks are the same in height wise. if you search there is side by side comparison for stock suspension between the ef/eg/ek.
ok. I just clarified PIC the company, as in the well known coilover company POWER IN CONTROL that is a pretty common discussion on this forum. Definitely not talking stock and talking about a very specific brand, PIC.
I hope that was clear?

there are many sets of pic select for eg/ek in my area slightly used But none for ef (which is what I need), so I could just fab the tophats and lower mounts to get the travel needed. I may just bite the bullet and get new, as i most likely wont find the rates I want anyhow. I will be purchasing and building the car at once, so budget is of concern, for this and other reasons.
Ok, thanks phunhaus. I pretty much decided to eventually go for new and get the rates I want because I will be building this car to start tracking with. Thanks for the replies guys!
