H22a Into 96 Civic EX
I have an H22a Motor I want to put into a 96 Civic EX, but had a few questions I cannot seem to get a legitimate answer for one way or another in my searches.
1 - Which shift linkage will I need to use? My buddy has told me that I should be able to use the shift linkage from a 92-94 accord and it should just bolt up? Is he crazy?
2 - I know I will need mounts and axles, I will be shopping for these before the install.
3 - Wiring Harness. I have the ECU that came with my civic. I also have the H22a ECU, should I try to adapt it, or just get a wiring harness for the H22a and wire it to the H22a ECU?
4 - Any other potential pitfalls I will face before I decide to start yanking my motor?
5 - I also have an LSD tranny that came with the H22a, so I do not need to worry about adapting mine.

You can use the prelude and accord shifters they are all the same you just have to know how to mount it on and you do need to cut around the civic original shifter area. Then you cut another hole 8 inches in front to route the cables through. For the wiring harness you can use yours if the civic is obd1.

Im currently running an odbd2 computer with a ZC motor in the car as it is now. So, where would be a good place to get a wiring harness to suit my needs? I checked rywire, they want an arm and a leg for the harness that will fit my needs. Also checked my local pick a part, even snuck in the back area where they store cars before they hit the main lot and get picked clean, couldnt find anything to suit my needs
How soon do you need something to work with?
I have a 99-00 EX (y8 - OBD1) harness converted to work with my OBD1 H22a. I plan on buying a Rywire soon. If you are interested, I will sell you my current harness. Doesn't look the best, but gets the job done.
PM me if you are interested.

PM Sent. If I were to use your harness, would I use the H22 ECU, or the existing one in my car now?
