Default Coilover questions and need suggestions

So my front right coilover is blown on my 96 hatchback. Right now I have omni power full sport coilovers on it. I'm not the biggest fan of them so I'm wondering if I can get away with(for now) swapping in two new front coilovers of a different brand? I don't know how that would affect the rear so that's why I ask. I may just park the car and save up to buy all 4. And does anyone have suggestions on decent coilovers for around $1000? I'm thinking of getting the AMR's simply because they look like real high quality coilovers but aside from what I've read on their website I can't find any reviews on them. So the three I have in mind right now are....

Tein Street Basis(cheapest and my uncle recommended them)
Shunk2 Pro S V2(heard good things)
AMR Engineering(pricier but better quality)

Opinions?

I have AMR's and love them. I would stay away from tein basics, I myself have never ran the basics but owned Flex's and couldn't complain. But for the price and warranty I rather buy the AMR's, plus the spring rates with the flexs are not what I wanted.

You got a pretty penny to spend. AMR will be the best for your budget. You wont be disappointed with AMR, koni GC, or progress, those are proven time and again.

Okay gotcha. Well from what I've read here on HT 8k/6k seems to be good for a DD with some agressive driving habits in mind right? Or should I go up to maybe like 10k/8k?

8k/6k is comfortable, but 10k/8k is a lil more fun. If you don't need the higher spring rates you should look at Koni/GC. I normally don't sway ppl from AMR but if you don't need to spend the extra $$ no sense.

That's what I've been hearing a lot. It's either the Koni/GC setup or something like AMR. I'm kind of a coilover newb so what should I be looking at for Koni? Are we talking about the 1150 series coilovers or something different?

EDIT: Nevermind I did some digging and figured it all out. Seems that realistically it's not much more expensive to get the AMR coilovers. Are there any major differences in quality when comparing an AMR setup vs. a Koni/GC setup?
