This is to basically allow people who convert to E85 to be exempt from Smog Testing.

Funny how this only applies if you switch to alternative fuels. What if I make my gasoline-powered engine an LEV? I guess that doesn't count for ****.

What's the big deal anyway? E85 still has emissions.

Converting to E85 should not allow you to be smog exempt. Only car that should be smog exempt is one that is 100% electric....lol

IMO converting an engine over to E85 should be held at higher standards of emissions control. Just like the ULEV / LEV engines are.
