hey everyone i have a 98 civic lx it has the d16y7 motor. i want to put a d16z6 cam in it. what all do i have to do and what problems will i run into. would it be worth it? my buddy has the same thing in his car, same motor and pput a z6 cam in it and i really didnt notice a difference besides take off which was sluggish

you cant put vtec camshaft in a non vtec head. its pointless the vtec cam has an extra lobe. maybe you should go to howstuffworks.com and type" how Vtec works"

 

i know how vtec works man.. but thank you im not going to hassle with it. ill just leave this car for a gas saver. i have a ek si with a b16 also. i just wanted my winter car a little better lol
