Default Biggest problem with doing a k20 swap

I have been looking at doing a k20 swap, what is a problem that most beginners run into when doing the swap? Obviously I'm new.

not putting all your questions into one thread....

Your not the first person to try this... You could always sell the swap for a built b18c1 an turbo it... rape any k20

A K swap is just as simple as a H, F or J into a Civic. So not to hard. Use the search. With swap kits from Hasport and wiring from Rywire swap is straight forward. I think the hardest part is spending all the money on a K20A2 or Z1 and LSD trans. I like the K24 with 5spd swap and Z1 head later down the road option better. Save a lot of money, have the K24 with the A2 or Z1 head for a killer motor combo.

Wouldn't weight be an issue at this point?

I'm looking at a possible k20a2 swap in my EK in the future.

I guess it must be hard when people don't just hand you all the information so you doesn't have to do any of the research yourself. I mean there are parts list and build threads and more info than you could ever use, but if you don't want to read any of it I guess you're SOL.

If money isn't an object like you're implying then buy the parts and have a reputable shop do it for you.

Has anyone yet?

Wonder why?
Your question is so vague and subjective, indicating an absolute lack of familiarity with the topic, a fishing expedition if you will. No one knows what your abilities are so who knows what you, as a "beginner", are going to have issues with? Hell, what is even your definition of "beginner"?

So possibly if you were to ask a legitimate technical question pertaining to the actual swap you might receive some legit tech responses.

People have already given you the information by posting up FAQs, DIYs, build threads and parts lists in many different forums. You just want someone to come along and serve it up to you on a silver platter.

Wonder why there is a whole forum dedicated to just this swap alone? Why there is a separate Hybrid forum here at H-T? It's not really a simple subject/swap.

The hardest think about a K-swap is putting the motor in the car...

As long as you know how to somewhat work on a car then you will be fine. If you have never worked on a car/swap before, READ A LOT before you start.

If you want to know what you will need and pricing... check out the parts list here:
