Default a/c compressor help

I want to remove my a/c compressor for now, because since it seized up completely, it serves me no purpose but add extra weight to the car, but I dont know if there is a procedure to it exactly. I know it has 4 bolts holding it to the engine and I'm thinking just take those out and thats it, or is there anything else? Also what about the lines when I unhook them from the compressor, should I leave them like that or plug them somehow to prevent stuff going in them? I will be replacing my a/c system in the future, but for now, the compressor is only dead weight. Thanks in advance HT peeps'

Definately make sure the system is empty! Then like you have said,4 bolts ,1 connector and plug the lines.Put tie wraps on the hoses to secure them good.
