Default destroyed B18C worth keeping?

Today i help my friend rip his B18C out of his car. It was totaled from the front and there is some serious damage.

First was the transmission...

I obviously know i cant use it being the was it is, but would it be possible to switch the gear and LSD into a new tranny case? Say a b16, b18c1, or even a b18b1?

Now the Head,

As you can see the intake side took all the damage, The whole casting of the head seems to have been damaged or maybe just the bolts bent but we are honestly afraid to reuse the head. My thought was to buy a bare b16 head get it ported and polished and reuse the valvetrain. idk how to check the cams for damage besides obvious blemishes. If they are unusable we thought of throwing in some skunk 2 cams or something.

As for the block we havent got that far yet but it doesnt look pretty as of now,
<a href="http://s1099.photobucket.com/albums/g390/evoslol/?action=view&amp;current=Blockmount.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g390/evoslol/Blockmount.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

we really heavent even started at the block yet and we can already see cracks where the motor mount attaches, if the block is unusable would we be able to use another block other then a b18c1 to swap the parts into like a b18b1 or b16. We may just use the type R head on a b16 block and boost it on a stock bottom end. Too many options as of now tell me what you think progress will be updated

junk it. too much stress damage. salvage what you can with the cams, rods etc. that engine had to have been hit hard.

Save the gear set, crankshaft, and any accessories that aren't damaged. Scrap everything else.

As of right now we have accouple options-

Option A-
Buy a b16
Port and polish the head and use everything from the ITR head (valve train, cams, intake mani) this making a cheap ITR head.
As for the block either keep it stock and run 10lbs or slap some eagles and cp pistons in there and run 16 daily.
As for the tranny I would really just like to find a screwed up b16 tranny and swap the b18c gear set into it, if not possible just buy a kaaz LSD for the tranny.

Option B-
Do the cheap ITR b16 head
Buy a GSR bare block and stick the b18c rotating a assembly into it and put 6 or 7lbs on it
Get a GSR tranny or b16 tranny and swap the gear set

Option C-
Sell everything possible from the swap and simply buy a new ITR, run it stock for awhile and boost it down the line, this is the easiest and safest way buy easily the most expensive.

The only questions I have are about the tranny and block, I know the head will be alright since it's the same cast. The b18c1 block will be fine to pot the rotating assembly into but could I put the b18c water pump and oil pump on the block? Same goes for the b16 could I use the water pump and oil pump even the rotating assembly in that block? The tranny is another big field of question, I def would like to use the gear set and LSD into another case?

Im sure with a b18c1 block you can swap everything into it from the b18c. And same with the tranny. (same go's with the water pump and oil pump) But About b16 im not sure.

But if you will part out head LMK.

If you decide to part stuff, I am interested in the outter transmission case half. The side WITHOUT the VIN tag on it. Mine is cracked and I would love to replace it.

Alright its been awhile but things are rough with babies lol. I completely stripped down the motor and everything internally looks good. I went and picked up a bare b18c gsr block to throw my internals into. The only bad thing about the block is that it has a block guard and the guy definatelly put it in himself. Im going to take the block to a machine shop to get checked and get the head flux tested. Since it got hit so hard i may take the crank to get rebalanced and the intake cam is going to atleast need polished. Heres some pics tell me what you think so far.

stock cams you can see where the intake cam got moved its not scarred just marked hopefully a polish will clean it up

Hope I didn't overlook something but what about the occupant(s) of the car, ok? That looks like a serious bone-jarring smack to do that kind of engine damage!

Where are the main caps for that block? If they weren't included and you plan on reusing the mains from your original, then you need to budget for a line hone or line bore. The blocks deck also looks like it needs to surfaced. It looks like someone took sand paper and went to town on the deck.

Yeah I'm going to send the head to get flux tested and milled very slightly. The block did come with the caps and girdle just not the bolts which I'll reuse from the wrecked block. I was gona get that decked as well but I'm not sure about getting the shop to hone the block. I have a block honder so I figured I could do that myself. The driver was good he slid through a red light and nailed the front of someone's car. What do you guys think about the block guard tho it's sitting below the deck surface and it's alittle uneven should I try to press it down further or pull it up? Would it be alright as is? I would never put a block guard in since it's super unneeded especially for my rebuilt lol.
