I'm thinking of purchasing the Jdm ITR Gathers radio but i barely use CD's anymore. Can you control an Ipod with this unit? I really don't want to look at my ipod everytime i want to skip a song.

For future reference to those who search (same message as the one I PM'd you back with):

I used a frequency shifter commonly found on UK eBay. Basically it takes the Japanese station and shifts the frequency by 12Mhz or 24Mhz. So 90Mhz US station = 78Mhz on radio display. It will read in the low frequencies (on the radio display) but will catch the shifted frequency.

There are many ipod controllers out there. Basically you'll need one that can plug into the white rear plug on the Gathers radio. There are simple ones where you can control the ipod through the ipod (which I have in my ITR). There are complex ones where you can control through the factory radio or ipod (in my Pilot). I have Navi in my Pilot so the song title/artist title gets displayed on the Navi screen, which is why I control the ipod through the radio. I think it's cool, but controlling through the ipod would be much faster to scroll.

If you have an iphone, you can use the ipod controller to stream radio stations like on Pandora or Radio.com
