hey everyone, thanks for the help with my jdm dohc zc so far. My new ef projects slowly getting the rough edges out.

Ok heres my problems now tho...
When i turn the car on its fine, at idle its fine. However when i give it gas it will bogg out and sometimes stall. Also when i try to drive it it will rev high, about 3-45k ,then finally grab gear and take off. It hesitates at takeoff and will bogg out and stall. Today i took it out for a spin and it stalled on a street and wouldnt turn on again. At first it sounded like a bad battery cuz it was starting to lose power but after a little bit of waiting i turned it on and it started right away. Does anybody have a clue what it could be? I kno my clutch is one reason so im gonna adjust the cable and possibly replace the clutch. But as for the motor bogging and stalling im stumped, maybe timing or distributor? Any help is appreciated. i wanna get my ef rolling especially since i just registered it today. My car has the jdm dohc zc.

I just got the car and before it had been sitting for a good while because it needed the wiring harness redone. Im going to do a full tune up (radiator flush, oil change, new spark plugs, clean out the throttle body, fuel filter) hopefully that might help. Oh my ignition is a push start button if that info helps... Thanks again guys!

 

i would first check on your vacuum lines, then check your timing and maybe check your grounds...can you give me a little more detail on what its doing ?

 

and what codes are you throwing ?

 

I would double check your ignition timing.

 

i also forgot to mention it would feel like it wasnt getting gas when i pressed the pedal. It did that when i was coasting and put it in a high gear. My buddies eg did the same thing and it ended up being the ignition timing and plugs.
Im going to check my hoses for leaks tho. As for the codes it did do the c.e.l. light but i didnt get a chance to check it and since its obdo im not really sure how to read them. My buddy knows so maybe he can help me. Oh yea and im going to re-ground the car. the main ground to the battery has a thinner cable than my sound system.... And i have a walmart wiring kit so its thinner than id say 14 gauge wiring
