96 accord, can egr vacuum screwup cause misfire?
if the two vacuum lines running to the EGR were swapped could it cause a bad misfire?
was messing around with fuel filter on my car and the lines were pulled off then ran some tests with the OBDII and got a really bad misfire, the guy helping me pulled them off and put them back on again, and it runs fine. I dont know if they were swapped (I didn't notice how they were on there while it ran poorly) or if the EGR valve was just gunked up and it got free again? if they were swapped would that cause a misfire like that? I never had a misfire that I've noticed since I got the car a year and a half ago, and it ran fine all the way home afterward.
its time to do ignition tuneup anyway cause I don't have a strong spark but I am wondering if I need to worry about the EGR clogging and making it run like crap again. Threw some seafoam in the tank anyway so hopefully that will help.
Thanks!

Yes - they're back where they should be now for sure. I'm just trying to figure out if (hopefully) my misfire may have been caused by them being backward, without putting them backward on purpose and trying it again!
Edit: Just want to clarify that I really don't know if they were on correctly or not while the misfire occurred. They may have or they may not have been.
Edit 4/17/13: dont know why I didn't repost on this thread before, but for the sake of anyone reading this later, I just wanted to mention I did swap those two EGR hoses and got the same symptoms (misfire when dropping to idle after revving over 2krpm) and swapped them back and never had another miss after that in over a year)
