will a smaller t4 exhaust housing give similar spool to a med/large t3 housing? example would be the pte6262. they offer a .58 and .68 t4 housing. would the either spool like the .82 t3 but cause less exhaust mani pressure?

ok gotcha, wasnt too concerned with response since it wont be amazing either way. thanks for the info on the comparison. as long as boost recovery is about the same i dont see a downside to going to t4. only reason im inquiring is i am changing my setup anyway and found a good deal on a t4 topmount and currently have a t3 ramhorn
you wont see much if any power difference between the two manifolds why not just stick with your ramhorn and the T3 ? You really dont need to step up to a T4 till around 750+whp i believe

im not concerned with a power difference, im looking to go to a topmount because taking the ramhorn on and off is a pain in the *** getting to the studs/nuts, i can do the change without losing any money out of pocket, and can upgrade down the road easier to a larger turbo/4" downpipe

Well that's very true it's much easier to work on with top mount and will allow you to go with larger turbo in future. Just wasn't sure what your goals were and didn't want to see someone waste money

no problem man, i appreciate you asking and input. i just dont have enough experience with t4 sizing to know how it will recover boost between shifts compared to t3. if a .68 t4 flows like a .82 t3 id like to give it a shot i think
