Weird rubbing grinding sound at 2000 rpm. It does it in any gear if im slowing down and hit 2000 rpm it makes a weird sound. if i down shift or up shift and it drops dont to 2k soon it makes the sound. I really have no clue what it could be or where to start! any info i would really appreciate it.

 

Well are you turning with this happens? Do you even hear it when you turn? Where does it sound like it's coming from?

 

It happens pretty much any time turning sitting still moving. It seems like its coming from the front some where.

might be the throttle body screw is too far in

 

Is your car lowered?

 

all it has is some kyb shocks from previous owner.. as far as the sound its like a rubbing slash vibration slash humming its hard to describe.

There's a flat head screw on top of the throttle body, right on top of the intake side.
This causes noises. Try turning it in or out, see if the sound changes?
