keep throwing code 1 02 sensor
Hey guys
This stared after I put 9 lb flywheel in my car, I've been told this would not cause a code 1
The engine was just put in as well
it is a sohc zc carb in a 91 crx si mpfi
I put in a new o2 sensor and thought I was good after 102 miles. But the code came back at a stop light
The sohc zc came with a different crank pulley a d16z6 crank pulley I believe.
Are the timing marks different on the two pulleys because when I adjust my ignition timing (advance a bit) I no longer throw the code
I had a sohc zc in it before but it was burning oil, the crank pulley was an a6 one but it started to fall apart so they used the one that came on the engine. I never had a chance to compare the marks
What would cause an o2 sensor code?
With the stock flywheel it never did it.
I have an ebay header but it never threw a code either
I have an oil catch can, but again, never threw a code
Maybe I need a valve job or plug wires?
Can someone post a picture of there distributor so I can compare its location to mine.
Could the wiring possibly be bad or the ecu?
Maybe I need a spacer on my o2 sensor for the ebay header?
Thanks guys

You need to get over this flywheel fixation, it has nothing to do with the o2 sensor or any codes. Did you look at the flowchart in the factory service manual??
It could be the pressure regulator, a loose wire, loose connector, bad sensor (doesn't matter that it's new), or the ecu.

Were is the location of the o2? If its not right on the top of the exhaust manifold your gonna get a code one since your running a single wire o2 need to upgrade to a four wire
It's right here; on the number 4 cylinder pipe

Strange thing is I never threw a code before.
I have not adjusted the valves so I'll try to do that tomorrow.
I believe it's something very small because I drove the car 60 miles with out a code, cleared it than made it 140 miles without a code
I would like to know what causes a code, rich or lean.
What do I address to find the solution?
spark plug are new, Has Platinum plugs properly gapped
timing is correctly set I believe
I was told to try a spacer on it like they use on the s2000 testpipe o2 sensors
I'm getting roughly 30 mpg and the car runs strong so I have no clue why it throws the code unless the ecu is bad
Maybe I'm reading the code wrong.
Here is a link o the actual code

It still maybe too far from the oem location
I'm running a y8 header o2 sits right under the oil fiter and as long as I don't let the rpms drop mad low it won't throw the code but as soon as I do it runs like ****
My advice would be upgrade to a four wire o2

A stoich meter......I have one and even when my car runs super lean or rich my O2 sensor doesnt throw a code. Your O2 sensor is basically exactly where mine is on my dual cam ZC. Maybe get yourself a stoich meter and see if your computer changes the fuel by the time it throws the code.
I take it you are not looking at a manual. They are free to download in a few places. I took a page from the o2 diagnosis for you. This is after you check the pressure regulator. Go step by step with a meter and you'll figure it out.
I noticed that they re used the fuel injector o rings not the new ones supplied for the aem fuel rail, so I figured I'd replace them, I removed the rail and fuel injector #1 cyl. plastic cap was broken and the body had a dent in it.
I'm confused if I did it or it was like that. I don't think I did it because I really didn't use much force.
Anyways, went to the store, replaced it with a new one.
Now I'll just wait and see if it will throw a code
Would a damaged injector cause an o2 code?
only the plastic cap at the injector was broken
decided not do a valve job till a code comes back so I know if it was the injector
Will check fuel pressure tomorrow

No the plastic cap that connects to the injector would not throw a O2 code. All that cap does is make sure the harness is connected properly and no foreign objects get in. And I doubt a rocker arm adjustment would do anything, along with a valve job.
The injector had a dent in it as well
Still though if you're injector was bad you would throw a code 16, and as long as it didn't leak gas then the injector was alright. But I understand why you replaced it. I was gonna tell you to reset the ECU and see if it throws number 2 again.....I guess you could go from there.
I would definitely look into a stoich meter man, a cheap or used one. It's not the best for tuning but it does do what it's supposed to do and let you know how you're running. Even though I've heard some people bang on it being just a light show, I think they're tarded. And possibly check the voltage if you throw the number 2 again. I think you said you had reset the computer.
List of what? Did you look at the flowchart or check anything with a multimeter?? Depending on your local emissions, you might want to just get the ecu chipped and call it a day.
list of things to rule out
check o2 sensor wiring like in the diagram above
check ecu
check fuel pressure
valve job who knows
run a can of seafoam
What is the flow chart?

I don't have it so I just zip tied my wires gently out of the way
edit, I don't have the one the plug clips into either, I zip tied it to the harness,
but the only one that's missing now from the old motor is the wire support
