Default Santa bought me a new teg!!

2000 integra LS special edition 2 door coupe RED.

The interior is MINT MINT MINT with a system already wired up, just no subs or amp though but thats fine for now.
Nothing is missing on this car what so ever, even every screw is in place, couldnt beleive it. practically got a steal here...

The trunk board they use for the floor is cracked and sunken down so i am gonna order up a thicker piece of MDF or w/e its called they use for sound systems and cut it out and throw that in there.

so i was thinkin..
1.) Type R front lip
2.) Type R rear spoiler
3.) Throw on Some window tint
4.) Shave the side moldings
And
I need to find a window third brake light and figure out how to wire it and hook it up cause there is none currently, just the third light on the GSR spoiler that's currently on there. or is there a type r spoiler i can get with the third brake light in it that will just plug in and fit like the one without the light?

and be done with it until the summer to slap on some rims and call it a comeplete project.

discuss.

If it were MY car, I'd skip the cosmetics and go with suspension. Makes driving much more fun

w/ that clean paint, i wouldnt wanna shave the side moldings and have to repaint the car again. I'd just rock em and be proud.. but thats just me

Yes, they do create a replica R spoiler w/ 3rd brake light. IMO its kind of a misplaced look. If it was me i'd just install a 3rd brake light... not too hard to do and its 20 bucks used online.

Car looks clean though. CF hood? if not repaint it red.
ITR lip would make it look great!
buff out those lights and it'll look like new
Imo amber turn turn signals look great on MR Tegs, Clear is still cool too though.
grab new rims, get better ride height and suspensions and you'll be set.

true, ill just do the whole brake light in the window thing, i need to research or get a link from someone to a do it yourself, i know i can just two side tape it to the window but i'd like to know how to run the wires and if there are any splicing involved, and when i go to remove the spoiler would i need to cut the wires or do they just unplug somewhere? i think i read upon research one time the wires are usually too short to reach so i might have to extend em eh?

nah the hood isnt CF so yeah i had plans to paint that red as well, the reason i say shave the side moldings is well the door paint on one side is a little faded more then the rest but nothing noticable unless your looking for it,

yeah i agree with you on the amber turns as well, im gonna grip a pair of those and put those in soon enough and buff up the lights.

after inspecting it today in the light since i bought it last night in the nighttime there is a tooney size surface rust area starting to form on the front of the roof and the rear quarter pannel area, but its just BARELY enough to even call surface rust, the area on the wheel well im guess started from a little ding the lady told me about (yeah i said lady she was like 50 years old rockin a teg lol stored inside too during winters. i got lucky. picked it up for 1500 LOL.

the first thing i did was rip out them damn rubber liners around the wheel wells in the rear. i did that b4 i even paid her i said they had to go lol.

the car has mud guards on, i personally dont like the look of mudflaps im debating whether or not to take em off or leave em on.

and yeah ill be doing rims in the spring, these for now r stock rims with snow tires, so i scored winter tires and stock rims

I didn't want to say anything but special edition? year 2000? no sun roof? black side moldings? does any of this things seem odd? and a 50 year old with a sub wired integra? also the rims aren't for the 2000 model. can you post more pics and of the interior too(like the front seats sides, also under the rear seats should be a reinforcement bar too). and 1500 is cheap, so look into what I've said. looks like someone could had put this car together. but I could be wrong.

its all good man i appreciate input whether you think it its relevant or or not, just gives me more of an idea what im dealin with ;p

in terms of more pics, i just put up some more

In terms of the Special edition, The special edition badge is on the back, and yeah i found it odd that the sunroof wasn't there.
I know she had a son thats 20, she tells me he used it periodicly but he has his own honda civic si.
I also know all these options come optional at the dealer so when she bought it she prolly didin't want a sunroof, understandable being older and what not, and more expensive option too.

though the owner ship tells me its a MAKE: ACUR MODEL: CIE YEAR: 00 BODY TYPE 2 DR.
i dunno what cie means.

nothing is missing in the car and it doesn't look taken apart at all.

and yeah there is a rear subframe under the seats, if your talkin about the silver thing we usually use for grounding wires thats just over the fuel pump access door.

There is also a black brace bar that the front of the rear seats attatch it self too so yes i beleive this is the bar your talking about.

they listed it for 2200 but sold it to me for 1500 cause she had just bought a bmw and just wanted rid of the teg o she could park her bmw inside and not have to move things around with having her sons car in the outside driveway aswell, well that was her story.
i cought her when she had the add up only an hour so i dont even think she had time to get an offer in on it yet lol.

it is illmaculate condition, no scratches, no peels, nothing, the interior is MINT the driver side looks to have had a little tear but it has been patched with material professionally sown in so other then that its pretty illmaculate. theres handles on the seats allowing me to adjust the middle section for back support etc.

sony deck, stock speakers though, and power wire and rcas ran to the back, they just had it ran under the dash under the console and under the back seat visibly on the back floor, so i tucked it all under the carpet today when i was vaccuming it all and ran them properly under the rear seats and into the back trunk. They also did not have a ground wire so i mounted a ground wire on the silver rail and ran it into the trunk aswell.

waiting on my power lead to arrive with an inline fuse so i can run the power lead from the deck power supply direct to the battery for direct power instead of the stock power lead so ittl handle what i wanna put in it.

other then that the cluster has the key in/out light and the trunk silver latch for open/ close, tweaters in the doors, black interior, dark cloth on the seats, a/c but ill prolly rip the a/c out anyway and plug the firewall hole since a/c boggs these cars down hardcore.

ive owned 4 integras in my life and i did own a 2000 black SE b4 but it had a sunroof which is why this one looks ODD without one..
the only thing i can see here is it was optional and she did not want it, but every other option is here.

does anybody know what CIE means in terms of model.. ? <--- shouldnt it say ILS for integra ls or ISE heh.

I also ran the vin on carfax and it came up 2000 integra special edition but i did not buy the reports cause it costs 34.99$ so ima wait on it for abit.

The bar I'm talking about goes in front of the rear bottom seats it's 3 pieces, and goes all the way across and it holds the seats(seat hooks fall in the support bar), should be black in color and its not the silver aluminum bar you mentioned(that one you can see from the back under the rear seat carpet). Also special edition was not available in 2000 and i think it was stopped on 97', on 98'-up it was called grand sport and i think no badge came with most(not 100% sure). just check the vin number from the drivers door side and the firewall one, also it should say what model it is on the sticker(drivers side along with year and color code ect.. Other things looked like its been messed with, you mentioned cloth seats and all the special edition and grand sports came with leather, 98'-up driver seats also had 2 ***** for manual seat settings and the passenger seat has the ability to lean forward and slide with one pull after 98'-up so yours should. also where the gas handle is at should only be a gas handle, no trunk release. I know there are more little things but these should be obvious ones, I'm just worried this 20 something year old did something to this car and i don't want a fellow h-t member not knowing what might they have gotten into, and also the 98 rs was the last year an integra(non R) was made without a sunroof. Hope I am wrong but this are things I know that differ in the years on the Integra.

I checked today when i rewired my system cables under the rear seats and into the trunk and installed a ground and cleaned up the 12 year old dirtyness under there today and the black support bar you mention is there in the front clipping the seats down. so its lookin to be legit, esp since it has tweaters and the trunk power switch on the door and every other option the ls came with cept the sunroof and leathers. but the leathers n sunroof are optional so i guess being older she did not wan't them.

I also have only one handle on the floor and thats the gas release handle. the trunk release is on the door its the silver button by the door handle and lock.

the trunk has an auctuator and a little sliding **** aswell on the outside and it does not have a high mount brake light only the one on the spoiler which i think is gay as **** cause i wanna put a type r spoiler on there and now i gotta worry about mounting the damn high brake light, but since some integras come stock with type r spoiler and no brake light i should be fine after inspection is passed to just not even use one. cause ive been using a type r spoiler in my old one for years and i have never been pulled over once. iam in canada so i guess they dont even realise. shrug.

upon research i found out the rims on it are indeed stock for the 2000 SE, they are 5 spoke alloys. instead of the ls meshies.
they are 14 inch rims im assuming cause the tires are 190/60R14 snow tires.

and ive owned a 2000 SE before bought from an actual car dealer (not an acura or honda dealer) and it had the same rims and same cloth seats with all the exact options this car has and in all the same places.. except that one had a sunroof and this one doesnt.

it seems pretty legit to be a 2000 SE because upon research they did make 2000 model SE's its everywhere all over google, as iam not 100% sure, i cant say that iam right or wrong or for that matter your right or wrong hehe.

i see this thread
http://ottawa.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehic...AdIdZ338091172
no sunroof there either, maybe some were optional with it, shrug lol id love for an expert to come and set this straight.

I'm just going by what i previously owned and what i own now and what research says.

Not having a sunroof is cool with me though i dont like them anyway they leak and cause problems. and i HATE water problems
Also not a fan of leather seats either, cold in winter and sticky in summer :p im gonna get 4 point bucket seats with suede and red stitching anyway.

I'am however interested in knowing what the CIE means on the model on the owner ship.

all the vins match on the windhsield and doors(both sides) and the firewall

on this note, all the fluids were at the min mark for the brake master cylinder and the clutch cylinder so i topped them up with fresh stuff but you can tell whats in it is old as **** and the new oil mixing with the old stuff, you can see the older stuff just sludgin around so i gotta bleed all that out and replace it all.

The oil is old too i checked the stick it isnt black but you can tell its time to change that, so im gonna do that soon, im also gonna flush the coolant and put all new coolant in cause it looks slimey as **** (the stuff in the resivoir anyway).

under the hood is DIRTY AS HELL like they have not cleaned under there at all since they owned it... so im gonna take a few rags and wash it down by hand to get what i can, i really hate pressure washing the engine bay, u never know what water can get into.

other then that everything looks good.

I agree with almost everything that has been said. I dont know but maybe Canada Integras are dif. Looks like a RS but like you said last one is the 98, I didnt know an Integra existed without a moonroof minus the Type R and RS. Also I have never seen a 98-01 with any 14" wheel beside a steel wheel or a mesh style wheel, those on this car are normally on 94-95 LS Integras and some Honda Del Sols. And from what Ive seen, the GSR is the only Integra with a wing with brake light in it as a standard and not a third brake light in the rear window. Only thing I can think of is its a Canadian Integra thing? none the less, great buy and its a nice car.

Not sure if relevant, but I have a 97 GS and it had a wing with the 3rd light and not one in the hatch.

it must be a canadian thing cause ive owned 4 integras in my life, 3 of them came with this wing and the brake light in it, ive had to switch them all to the type R spoilers, BUT they all also had the light in the window, this car doesn't.

its weird lol. and i know its getting clear that the SE's stopped after 98 but i see so many 2000 SE's rollin around and ive owned one before this one and got it from a dealer. i also see them for sale alot and online.

they dont have sunroofs but the one i used to own had a sunroof. lol its like the integra gods r playin with us.

and i just sold my old teg it was a 95 RS, it did not have tweaters or the trunk silver power latch button on the door, but this one does. so it makes me think these either came stock on SE's OR in the later years. shrug but everything else is basicly the same, cloth etc.

and about the gsr wings, i think they come on alot of integras except for some earlier versions of integras and the type R.

its weird but the vins check out, the motor is indeed a b18b1 writen on it, looks to have the newer style LS valve cover too, ima take pics of the engine compartment today, the previous owner had an intake put in but he used the stock air hose to engine, he could have just by passed it and went straight to engine from cold air intake with the hose lol.

i gotta wash that engine bay its dirty as ****

You can always run an autocheck or carfax to verify what model it is, I doubt someone would just put a special edition badge on it, never know.

I know with Honda SE's (typically SE's are right before a model change as well) sometimes it is a hybrid between the LX's and EX's models, like upgraded interior but no sunroof etc.

haaha yea im gonna degrease it all and wash it all and ittl be illmaculate again, theres no rust on the painting or w/e there its just never been washed.

and ill just throw on a new valve cover if i have too and take off the heat shield on the headers.

i edited my other posts i dunno if any1 saw but the rear black brace bar is indeed there for the seats and all the SE options r here cept the leathers and the moonroof but these options again were ALL optional at the dealer so i guess her being older she did not want them or wanna pay the extra money and tax.

Xsi, SE, Type R...what difference does it make now? You already bought it. ANYway, congrats on your Teg my man. I would go with suspension mods and hold off on the cosmetic stuff for now. Make sure that she runs tight before you go spendin money elsewhere!!! Good Luck

yeah i know, but it is indeed an SE, the vin says it, the extra options say it, even carfax says it ;p and the badge is there so for a 50 year old lady previously owner since birth i doubt her or her son did anything.

its just nice to know for my own records :D

i mean they didint even install the system wiring right, they had no ground wire in the trunk and the power wire n remote wire and rcas just running from deck under the console visibly on the back floor under the back seat tray and into the trunk, when i ripped the seats out today to look for the bar and to clean up the 11 year old mess i found 4 $ in change and the bar was there :D, so i made money and ran the wiring properly and installed a ground.

also cleaned the entire interior, vaccumed and washed it all, even the roof, I cleaned the windows and armor alled everything, she shiney now also tweaked the deck abit so it even has some bass to it now lol and it has a usb port, Good for my iphone =]

so im pretty much gonna leave it as is for the winter and just get it etested and safetied now and throw suspension on it in the summer and the type r lip n wing along with subs n amp and tint

Definately gonna tackle that engine bay tmw and hand clean what i can and paint the intake tubing after a good sanding and change the fluids completely

all and all it was good day

So a 50 year old lady put the short ram intake on it? lol. And like stated above, I don't think those are integre LS SE wheels. But either way, nice pick up.

Subs = lol

Not busting you at all about it, just trying to figure this out. I would also think all SE integras would have abs and cruise control standard. Yours does not, I've never even seen a 99, 00, or a 01 integra of any model without the abs, because the rs model was the only one with out it and that model ended in 98, at least that is strickly US integras. It is blowing my mind because it appears to be a 98 rs, everything about it says that but the last rs was a 98 so this is just so crazy. You will have to keep us posted on your build of this odd integra. And you can't go wrong with the type R wing and lip. I have 2 tegs both with R wings, my gsr has a third brake light in the wing but I didn't wire it in so I have no third brake light and my ls has a Oem R wing but I have the Oem brake light in the rear window.

yeah ima need a third brake light.

and oddly enough i had a 2000 LS SE back 5 years ago and it didint have abs either.

my only explanation for this is all this was option and she prolly went with the barebones lol. being older i can understand that hehe because im not sure but i dont think the RS came with tweaters or the black brace bar or the silver trunk latch(power trunk). cause i just sold my 95 rs b4 i picked this one up and it didint have any of these options :O

and too dirty da 9 lol she had a 20 year old son so im assuming he wired the sub wires (wrong of course) that i had to rewire but i thank him for the wires being there lol
and he put the intake in.

so to update, today i hand washed the engine bay a little bit and it is a night and day difference already, all that hidden red paint is shinen now ! lol

The wiring for the window brake light is very simple. you are just removing/unplugging the two wires from the spoiler leads and simply plugging them into the rear brake light plug. Even a chimp could do it blindfolded

My 96 LS came with both the Hatch light in place bolted into the glass, as well as the OEM honda installed spoiler, with the OEM brake light extension harness. (I have those same 14" wheels on my car as my winter beater wheels now!)

Congrats on the purchase. The car looks good, but I have never ever seen a special edition badge like that. and what special edition comes without a sunroof and body colored moldings? Either way you seems to have yourself a nice car with some potential. And never trust a 50yo woman who doesnt have the original radio in the car along with the factory air box

yeah i figured it'd be easy to do the brake light thing, but i think ima need the extension plug and the light cause i dont have a third brake light mounted in the window.

and with the moonroof, abs and leather seats and stuff it was all optional at the dealer so im sure she just didint want it.

as of the system n CAI she had a son so i bet he did it lol.

The Special Edition badges are on alot of tegs in canada, must be a canadian thing lol
