Hey everyone my name is Andrew, Live is Washington state, and this is my first turbo build, all my friends have turbo cars and I am joining the group

Shouldn't those ID1000s have blue hats?

Thankyou!

Honestly not sure, my buddy had them on his turbo b-series for dyno time, 10 passes and like a 100 miles before he decided to upgrade to id2000's. They came with the red tops...

2.5" piping is fine, no need to do 2.75 or 3". Get at least a 750hp rated intercooler from.. wherever as long as it isn't a Godspeed.

Otherwise, do you.

What fuel are you planning on using? Take that into account with how you decide to buy your fuel components. lots of folks are having success with E98 or E85 both of which take around 36% more fuel for the same bang. IDK if you can get to 700whp using ethanol and id1000's. Good luck

Good build you have going here. I would go with the Golden Eagle cam gears as Ive heard AEM arent the best to use over time. Depending on your fuel system you go with you should be right around 680-700whp if using c16.

yea i was thinking a garrett core intercooler, what companies use them? i believe most do?
is 3" just overkill for builds such as these. i was leaning towards 2.5" but just didnt know. my TB is 68mm which is almost 3". thanks for the input good sir.

im gonna use c16 i believe, i can get e85 up here in alot of locations however i dont wanna deal with winter/summer blends and all that. its a track car so im ok haveing 2 tunes for pump and then race gas if need be. or maybe just race gas lol. my n/a car gets driven like 6-10 times a year lol. so not too worried about this one either lol.

thanks for the headsup on the cam gears, i have golden eagles on my ITR build, maybe ill just pickup another set.. if i remember right, the golden eagle markings read a little differently right? how does that work... i cant remembere.

thanks for all the possitive feedback and hope everyones christmas was great! mine was very busy lol. im gonna go try and get the intake mani/injectors/ TB and all that on today!

why not do an e85 tune and a pump gas tune then e85 gets my vote the only issue i have seen in the 3 years i have been using it is rubber stuff forms at the orfaces of the injectors, and the only things that disipates it is gas lol so those 2 tunes would compliment one another.

as for the summer/winter blends it might be just a kansas thing, but i have never seen any differance between fuel in july and fuel in december at all

fo what its worth i just made 602/360 on pump e85 with rc 1000 injectors at 100% with a base of 70psi.

fuel system is a1000 fuel pump/ -10 feed/aeromotie 1:1 regulator/stock return line

this was on an old school pt67 .70/.82 @25psi

hmm i may think aboutthat, i know it takes alot more injector for e85 and i can build more power with my injectors on c16 i believe, however, that may take me out of the turbos efficency if i go too much higher

other reason my thoughts on c16 is my father in law keeps 55gal barrels in his garage haha.

those are definantly some nice numbers! i was either gonna run walbro 400, or dual bosch 44's and either aeromotive/weldon/ or fuel lab. heard pretty decent things about all of them.

so i installed my intake mani and TB/omni4 bar, im gonna have to drill the rivets out of my stock b16 TB for the tps, and i realized i did not have the injector gaskets that sit in the intake mani so i cant install injectors/fuel rail...

o and on a side note, i did some measurements of my b16/itr edlebrock IM vs my roomates GSR edlebrock and the b16/ itr one has severely longer runners, bigger ID (inside diameter) of the runners and different angles. I find it entertaining lol.

I build airplanes for a living and find it neccessary to figure worthless crap out haha.. o well.

Sweet build and expecting some nice numbers!!

B16 love!! My B16 85mm build is finished and got 600+ with a .63 hot side. Waiting for some good #s with that .82

I used .63 since I daily drive it and a .82 would hurt my responsiveness but your build's purpose .82 would work nicely. Again waiting for some nice #s.

I ran out of fuel with my ID1000s at 34psi using 45psi base fuel pressure with walbro and made 607whp. So that may be your limiting factor but will make good numbers nevertheless!

thanks man! i love the little b16 haha.

what fuel were u using? completely stock lines? or what was your fuel filter and line setup like? just a walbro and you made 607? nice power tho brother!

im hoping the .82 will provide just a little more top end as im pretty much just gonna be a weekend warrior!

im thinking about going with T1's inline bosch 44 inline filter with a walbro 255 in tank, im just not sure if his setup replaces the stock fuel filter or hooks onto it. i would rather have an inline filter setup instead of the stocker.

here is the only progress i have made on it the last few days. installed the victor x, id1000's, omni 68mm TB, 4 bar map, and hondata gasket. now im just waiting because, I am thinking that i will be ordering skunk2 pro1 cams, cam gears, moroso oil pan, and my ati damper this weekend at some point! and then the actual motor will be done!

Yea im running stock lines and filter except for the return line that I have a -6 or -8 cant remember.

The inline bosch will do fine but have thought about the walbro 400? Im just curious cause I might get one to boost a little more, but I believe our biggest enemy is gonna be the ID1000s. Im running them at 100% at 34psi, IDK if its the pump starving up there, I guess im asking too much of a simple 255

hey everyone. Its been a long time since I have even touched this thread let alone my build lol. I definitely put it on the back burner for awhile due to family stuff and overall busy-ness of life and work. Its a good feeling to be back into building this thing and hopefully it wont take too long to try and finish up lol.

So as it stands I pulled the skunk2 pro1 cams out of my all motor c5 and replaced them with CTR cams I had. -have not got to install the PRO1's in this motor yet.

I ordered a few things from lightning motorsports trying to order a few things to finish my motor up.
golden eagle sanwich plate and ATI super dampener

I placed an order a few weeks back from the wonderful people at blue ridge motorsports for some goodies and recieved them a few days ago! GREAT people with AWESOME customer service here our some pics.

B-series ram horn manifold, dumptube for tial 44, and a 3in 4-bolt DP built for my 6262. AWESOME welds and beautiful pieces

here are some turbo feed and drain lines along with a pretty wicked BRMS tee-shirt lol (XL for my FATASS)

Tommorrow after work im making the drive to ASP ( advanced street performance ) to go over my catch-can, small battery, valve cover, lines and all that so i can get it welded up quickly.

O yea and since ive been pro-longing this build I changed my mind about putting this motor into my 2000 civic SI, It was just to luxery lol. AC, PS, sunroof, Cruise control and everything lol. So i pulled the motor out of my real RHD 1997 EK4 that i built a few years back and decided to put it in there lol.

I figured the RHD just sat in the garage except for shows/meets/ auto-x events so I minds well only have 1 car collecting dust instead of 2 lol. A few of my friends are against it but whateva lol. And to those people that say it will be harder to race... Im left handed and dragged raced my all motor setup last year with it lol..

here is a few pics of the car, ill get better ones soon enough...

Haha, like what?? "The B16a is useless" You lot and your obsession with things been "BIG" hehe... My B16a is at 81.25mm so there.

It's funny because people don't consider the B16a to be a heap of junk over here like they do in the US.

I went by the logic that I was "happy" with my stock B16 so I'd build a stronger/better one (+ the fact I got a lot of my parts for cheap)...
