Default Steering knuckle and lower control arm problem.

I just replaced my driver side axle in my 89 hatch with a b16 swap. I used a 90-93 integra axle. For some reason I can't get the lower control arm and steering knuckle lined up to save my life. The axle is all the way in. I checked the length of the axle compared to the other and they are the same. I'm about 1/4 inch away from it dropping in. Any suggestions?

Did you remove the dust shields from the axle and hub?

I also read that 90-93 axles won't work with dx knuckles. is this true? and what do these dust caps look like?

Yes, remove the dust shields. You will need to pull the axle back out of the hub to see it. You can pry it out with a screwdriver. Not sure about the axle fitment on DX. I've always had SI or converted LS.

Google 'dust ring honda' and it's the second image. Behind the knuckle where the axle comes in, it's a thin metal ring you can pry out. Do this on both sides and you should be good.

Well the dust ring was already out. So I'm still stuck. Any other suggestions?

Hmm, is the axle completely bottomed out in the hub and intermediate shaft?

What intermediate shaft are you running? It should be stamped SK7. If not, you'll need different axles.

If you have the Sir (jdm) intermediate shaft, you need to build a custom driveshaft using an 88-89 Integra axle with a 90-93 Integra outboard CV joint.
Or find the SK7 intermediate from the integra, and use regular integra axles.

Is the car evenly jacked up? If not it could be the sway bar applying tension and pushing the LCA down. If your car has a sway bar.
