I will be making a racing dash board for my CRX. Mostly a very basic copy of the factory dash with all of the vents and radio/heat covered over(more room for gauges).

It will be one big hollow tube. The idea is that it would be possible install a fan and cut holes for venting.

I am wondering, how many people would be committed to losing the creature comforts in their car? Obviously it will be very light weight. I will be making it out of fiberglass. Carbon fiber will only be about 1 pound lighter.

Did you use the sheet metal to custom that ? And also is that rivet or screws ?

It was made at a buddies shop. I helped with it since I dont have the tools to do this alone.

Yes it is sheet metal. Aluminum that is. Rivets at some points on the dash and door panels are screws.
