Caster/Suspension issue on bigger rims
Hi everyone, new to the forum. Appreciate any advice that I can get. Recently bought a 1996 Integra LS, Automatic. It came with a 17" ADR rims and Kuhmo tires. Skunk adjustable coilovers, KYB shocks.
I notice the car pull left/right whenever i pull to a stop. Took for a car alignment, the problem still is there. Then did a full vehicle inspection. Firestone found out, the caster on the front left can't be adjusted. They said that it's because my rims+tires weren't from the manufacture. So in this case, they weren't able to adjust it to its specific measure.
Is this true with all vehicle that have bigger rims/tires? If not, how can i be able to fix my issue? Thanks

Lol @ firestone. caster is not adjustable on integras regardless of rim size. rim size doesn't determine caster either. Wtf are some of these shops smoking?
If it's only happening while coming to a stop, maybe theres an issue with one of the calipers not working.

Secondly, the Firestone mechanic doesn't know what he's doing. There are only two things that are adjustable on your car (assuming OE parts): thrust-angle and toe. Neither has anything whatever to do with the wheels and tires.
Hi guys, appreciate all the replies. I had my rotors and pads replaced a year ago, but before i replaced them. I already experience the stop pull left/right. If it's brake related. Do you suggest that i should take my car for a brake inspection? I never had any caliper replaced. The only suspension parts that weren't stock are the KYB shocks and SKunk adjustable coilover springs. I also have strut bars front and rear.
LMAO at the smoking part. I guessed they were trying to sell me some story good enough to make sense.

^had a similar experience.. Input shaft bearing was on its way out and tranny shop told me that its not the tranny but the wheel bearing.
I was like "wtf? your telling me that my wheel bearings are making noises when i engage/disengage clutch while the car is at a full stop?"
You can bet i got my *** outta there quick.. "Transmission Specialist (Name of shop)" my *** lol.. ended up fixing it myself the next day..
anyways, to the op.. it seems to me those firestone techs dont know anything about honda's i guess. Follow the above advice and inspect your brakes. Get back to us when you do.

I had my vehicle inspected by midas 2 months ago, they didn't find out anything wrong with the brake. Probably it wasn't a thorough inspection.
Thanks guys, i'll have my brake inspect. Will post update.

All Midas did was measure pad and rotor thickness, caliper piston function isn't tested/checked during an inspection, other than them stepping on the brake and making sure the car stops lol. They are going to have to take the caliper off an physically test how well the pistons engage.

This can be done on the car.

The rust and gum is what makes the piston stick.
The ENTIRE brake assembly needs to be checked, not just the calipers.
Seized pins and stuck pads also cause brakes to pull, sometimes badly.
