any ways i just bought this car and i noticed there was a switch toggle switch i turnd it off one day they car didt start i turnd it back on it started right up...


Today im driving down the road all of a sundan they car dies it has power and stuff just DIES i notice on the toggle switch that the light is no longer red i look and look for this fuse.but man i just dont know why would there be a switch for this any ways.I dont know if tha fuel pump is not working.Tomorrow im get look at it and see if it is coming on and look more for this fuse.Its getting towed >,<

But man any ideas on this or somthing im post more tomorrow when i get more information on this civic but hell any thing to help me let me know

 

Are you talking about a battery kill switch?

 

You didn't think to ask what the switch was for when you bought it? Could be anything. Most likely it is a fuel cutoff or something to bypass the main relay. Sounds like your switch died.

 

He says it still had power. I assumed he meant electrical power (lights, etc.).

 

man i bought this car so fast it was just sad i calld the guy no answer i found this switch on my OWN lol i dont know what it is the switch has a lil red onlight on it its not on now..like i said one day i hit it off no crank then i turnd it back on it crankd right up..

Other then that i was driving it down the road 70mhp and bam no gas to do none just coasted to a stop.they cranks over but just wont start over You know..But man i dont know i forgot to listen to see if that fuel pump was coming on and im look closer for the fuses but **** i just dont know what that switch is im thinking fuel
