Kay so im looking for a beasty all motor y8 build but also a daily driver anyone got any ideas?

im still new to the game and im willing to learn but i dont know what parts are good and what sucks... PLEASE HELP!

 

not worth it. most hp ever made from a d series was 170hp which is still weak and took prob 5k or more to build it u can build a turbo setup cheaper and make 200hp on a stock motor and still get 30mpg if u stay out of boost daily.

 

What's your definition of "beasty"? 25hp gain? 200hp gain?

There are some powerful all motor D series out there, but most weren't cheap builds. Doing it on the cheap will take savvy, lots of patience and research. Even still, by the time you get to 170 or so hp, you probably could have long since bought a B series.

I agree with the other poster; FI (force induction) is the only way to go to make serious HP out of the D series motor and retain daily driving capabilities.

 

How deep are your pockets? haha. Just boost it, or swap in a bigger motor.
