Like the title says I would like to remove my headrest upholstery, but the zipper has surpassed my intellectual capacity. Has anyone done this before and know how to do this right without ripping it?

K there is no way. You need your own zipper sacrificed from your least favorite jacket, and you have to bust open the threads and re-sew them. Honda fail.
