Default more torque or what?

Im used to my shitty d16a6 half blown engine. Im sure everyone in the world knows by now im running a sohc zc. I've just recently noticed this: when im driving and i let off the gas then put gas back on, in the slightest bit, it feels like my frame is shot back and it'll do it every time i take off and put on the gas. It could just be this high performance engine . But it also seems like, quite possibly my engine isn't mounted all the way. I'll check it out this weekend to find out, but i just wanna see what this intelligent crowd has to say first

Hmm... With my Z6/Y8 motor (still using Si ECU ) There wasn't a HUGE increase in torque, but a noticable amount.

Does it make any strange noises when you hit the gas?

I think I know what your talking about though - while it's in gear, and you let it off then tap it back on it kinda jerks for me too. (1st and 2nd at least)

Did you put in a new clutch when you did the swap? I'm thinking maybe it could've been because your old clutch was kinda slipping, so it didn't have a constant solid hold while you were pressing the gas... maybe.. maybe not..

Anyway if it doesn't make any crazy sounds, it should be okay. But it wont hurt to take a look at those motor mounts.

welp its about 3 am now, and i took my car for a wonderous ride. I swear, when i rev upto about 5250 and shift it kinda sounds like a turbo is in there, but there isn't, and everything sounds good, and my clutch wasn't replaced, still stock one from the old engine. I love my motor though, that beast was pulling all the way into forth. Though it does take a noticable longer time to bring my engine upto 5250 rpm in 4th, which is a good thing i presume. I went down the empty freeway going 100 for a second or two, it didn't even require wot. Did i mention i love my engine?
