MPFI Code 4
Ok.
I have done a lot of research and troubleshooting and now I am at a loss.
Car would not start, purchased a new distributor and now it cranks but CODE 4, cant rev past 3k.
On one test, the car did start fine and allowed me to go past 3 k but once I turned the car off it went back to having code 4.
I have no idea what to do. Triple checked my wires. Tested continuity.
The only thing I can think of is a bad ecu or the pins are loose and I will need to go to a junkyard to cut the B ecu harness and attach that to my current harness.
Any other suggestions?
Also was considering the ignition timing being off but would that cause a code 4?
thanks

You haven't given us anything to really go off of...
What OBD?
What ECU?
What Distributor?
What Engine?
Was the vehicle originally MPFI or is this a conversion?
Blah blah blah... To help you we need more information.
Also, cranking does not equal starting/running.
