What is this part and how to replace it?
I've been doing some research for a couple of hours and can't find any useful information on what this part is called and how best to replace it. I'm thinking there's going to be some cutting/welding involved but I wanted to ask to be sure. If I can at least find out what the part is called, I can call around to a junkyard and see if I can get my hands on one.
Below is a picture of the part circled in red:

Thanks!

you need to go to the junkyard and have them cut out enough of the metal you need to replace the damaged part on your car. if you drive that car there and show them the damage i am sure they can cut a big enough piece off for you to take to your body man.
The side sill panel is in most of the red box in the picture, and part of the outer panel is also in it.
There may be frame damage if that portion is damaged like that.

That's some interesting damage.
They make replacement quarter panels and wheel arches, but I'm not sure about that sill panel.
I would say cut out and replace the worst of what you can, and bang out the mud the rest.

Yeah, I know that's some interesting looking damage. Most of it is on the right side of the box near the wheel arch (where the black rubber seal starts). Thankfully, the frame is structurally sound so I think I'll be fine to cut the bad spot out and weld in the replacement.
I'll drive the car over to the junkyard and see if they can cut me out a replacement.
Thanks for the information everyone!
