Throttle body question!!

Default Throttle body question!!

i have a 98 civic with the d16y7 motor but i have a z6 head that i want to put on. i know how do to the swap. i was just wondering if my throttle body with fit on the z6 manifold? mine, the y7, the throttle body faces upwards on the manifold. will it work?

It will bolt up but it will not work, you need a Y8 or Z6 TB or a B16 or B18B1 which are larger. IMO it would be best to use the Y8 intake manifold and B16 TB. The Y8 mani flows better than the Z6. A good intake and header with a 2 1/4/-2 1/2 inch exhaust and a decent cam will get some decent gains. Oh and tuning of coarse.

ha ya i have vitara pistons, tuner toy rods. eagle crankshaft. DC headers & full exhaust. i even threw in a 5 speed. i just wanna switch my intake mani. why wouldnt it work? thanks for ur help too by the way!! also the y7tb is 56mm and for a z6 its a 56mm also. still wont work?

Will bolt up as said above but you'll need the Z6/Y8 throttle rotor so you might as well use the Z6/Y8 TB.

thank you for the advice. i guess ill have to wait and get the y8 or z6 TB
