Icon2 Is it safe to plug this hole?

Waddup guys.

I am not sure if it is safe to plug up the whole on my tire. I was told once by a mechanic that damage on the side of a tire can lead it to bubble up and possible explode.

This hole ( Between the two silver dots ) is not exactly on top or the side, but in between. I'm using the method shown in the other picture with the sticky rope and the T handle cork screwdriver like thing.

Should I or should I not patch it up?

That's the shoulder, and should not be repaired. Time for a replacement.

i personally wouldn't run it or let a customer go with it, if you decide to run it at least patch it and dont plug it

+1
Too close to the sidewall, both a plug and a patch would flex too much to be safe.
