has anyone had experience with this thing being removed for a long period of time? i was considering removing mine to clean up the area a bit and lessen the possibilities of air being trapped in the system(my clutch pedal is being lazy).

i have heard it is there to put less strain on the clutch and i have heard it is there just for comfort. Over an extended amount of time will its removal cause any extra wear on the clutch system?

 

You're right about comfort and smooth engagement. It's fine to remove if you want.

 

cool i may in the future. found out my problem though. still air in the lines. turns out the bleeder was leaking air while one man bleeding. decided to bust into some unused parts and found a pair of brake bleeders with the check valves

1x m8x1.25 check valve bleeder and now bleeding the clutch is a walk in the park

 

Haha, nice. Or you could've gravity bleed the system, but that'll take days. Lol.
