Default Dipping HX wheels??

Hey just wondering about how much it costs to "dip" wheels in chrome? Also does anyone know of a place that does that in the Milwaukee WI area?

Thanks ahead of time
Jason

I know of a place in SoCAL but I wouldn't recommend them because there has been a lot of bad transactions going on with them through users here on honda-Tech. dippedparts.com Memoryfab does custom work too but I'm not sure if they have chrome.

If you want actual chrome, then it is electroplated to the metal. For "show quality" chrome, they plate in copper, polish that, plate in nickel (which is what you actually see on "chromed" parts), then plate over that in chrome (which is just a protective layer you can see through).

It's heavy, and will make detecting any cracks in the AL that form impossible to see until the wheel completely comes apart while driving. Only steel wheels should be chromed.

If you want the look, find paint the mimics the look.
