Just picked up this car it has a k20a2 swap
When you first give the car gas it seems good but then at like 3k rpms it seems really laggy and looses power, it also doesn't cross Vtec.. No check engine lights, just wondering if anyone has advice to where I can start diagnosing the issues

 

Does it have K-Pro? (You should be able to check the logs and see if there are any irregularities.)
Does it not get past 4,000 RPM's? (If it doesn't, the car is in limp mode and needs to be diagnosed.)

 

Reminds me of a Civic brought into a dealership I used to work at, a butcher swap, then purchased by another person. Fifteen hours billable labour, and approximately $50 in supplies got it running properly.
