Don't do it. If it's for security purposes, just take a few spark plug wires off everytime you park it.

Unplugging your ecu will not reset your tune.

It doesn't reset it. I'm just saying, don't waste your time doing that everytime you park your car. But if you want to, go for it.

I say just unplug you fuel injector ground plug by the clutch master cylinder on the end of the harness.. Your car won't go anywhere..

Although the s300 won't loose programming if you unplug the ECU, it's likely you will damage the wiring harness or input pins on the ECU eventually. These connectors aren't designed to be plugged/un-plugged on a regular basis.

As others have mentioned, finding other "stealth" methods to help your car stay where parked would likely be smarter.

Well first off....

If you "know ppl" that are "prepared" for stuff like that, does this mean you know thieves?

This is why i don't put any of my security **** on forums, people scour them for new prey. Honestly OP, just Google a wiring diagram and find the main relay wires or a wire that can't be bi passed and make your own set of kill switches and don't share with the world. lol Also, don't waste time on a fuel pump "cutoff" switch, friend had one and the person who stole his civic bypassed it like it was nothing.

Taking out the ECU is a bit drastic, but do what you gotta do to sleep at night, cause i don't blame you one bit. And best of luck to you

He didn't agree with you about taking the ecu out... He told him to make a kill switch. He said do what you gotta do to help you sleep at night. Which means if he wants to take it out, then so be it.

Quoted from the movie sex drive "Ever heard of low-jack cheesedick?". I would make a kill switch, and look for GPS tracking devices just incase your car does get stolen you can contact authorites and let them know the wearabouts. Or get some justice on your own lol.

What I plan on doing, is making a kill switch, and buying one of those steering wheel locks.

This is one reason why I hate hondas, it's the only kind of car I have ever owned/modded that I have to worry about everytime I park it.

1. It's under the carpet
2. It's under a foot plate
3. It's bolted down.

man this thread is full of fail. if you're an idiot and own a turbo gsr without having a garage. sell the car and upgrade your housing situation. if you can't do that and just have to have a theft magnet outside then do the following

1. alarm
2. fuel pump switch
3. motion sensor inside the car with the other end next to your bed
4. hardened chain around subframe and wrapped around steel post

3 lets you know they are there
4 prevents the car from moving without using a loud *** grinder even if they defeat 1&2
