THoughts on Osram 8000k HID kit VS. 4800K+ Philips HID kit
I wouldn't buy the 8000k. That color temperature is too high (kelvin) therefore making it too blue. The 4800k will look more OEM and be a brilliant white light illuminating the ground. As the color temperature increases the less you will be able to see, because the lumens will go down as well. I have a 6000k kit and it looks good. I've been thinking about switching the bulbs for some 45-4800k bulbs, but I'm not sure. I think the 6000k looks more OEM in projector beams. At least it does in mine. And the illumination on the road is very good as well. Although it could be better with some lower kelvin bulbs.

Cool
and well say
thanks
yeah i always wanted to get 6000k philips kit but... this deal only has 8000k Osram which outputs Bluish.
we shall see
ANY HID is still HID.. and will be better than use the stock bulbs

Or, you could get a pair of Bosche HID (BMW), S2000, or Audi S4 projectors and swap them into your housing. You can use OEM D2S bulbs and achieve both the color/aberation and coverage of the vehicle the projector was originally designed for.

hmm.. osram only makes HID kits that comply with DOT.. 8000K rice kits dont comply..so i doubt osram made those 8000K POS's.. its probably some cheap company..
my friend has an 8000K kit on his Supra and it looks NASTY. they don't even really look HID. they kinda look like those cheap NOKYA bulbs and when the light hits the ground it is too blue. definately go with anything under 5000K you'll like the results.
'00typer-who regrets getting 6000k, looks barney purple

If i would go for i would stick with 4800~5100k now.... if your 6000k outputs like that.. then i wouldnt' want to bother the 8000k kit
Thanks for all the inputs guys..
I decided to stick with my 9005 SilverStar for now..

00TypeR what HID kit is that? Also, The Integra uses D2S bulbs if you were to switch them for some lower kelvin ones right?
Definately does not look good.
it's the k2 6000K kit and i really don't feel like spending $150 to get some 4300K bulbs, i got to do other stuff first
True...My friend with an accord has those...purple as can be. Definately not barney purple but a TRUE purple bulb UNLIKE seen on OEM kits.
