Default NEED ADVICE! EG boosted

ok so i picked up a eg that had a jdm b16a with a turbo on it. im pretty new to the whole honda scene so take it easy on me.

sooo heres the deal....i have done a little research and ppl say that a stock b16 could handle 250 which is aprox what im pushing with no problem so as of right now im not to worried about that as i baby and hardly ever crack vtec. but im running a p28 non chipped ecu. which is one of my main concerns. i was a pervious rx7 owner and know just how important this stuff is. so

WHAT ECU SHOULD I BE USING?

next...also from what i heard that the ls (s80) tranny is the best route for my engine since it has a longer 5th gear...soo

WHAT IS THE BEST TRANNY THAT I COULD USE?

those are pretty much the two main things that im worried about right now my car is far from complete and i have a ton of work still to do but as for what i want out of the car is a very fun fast reliable DD talking numbers when its all said and done i want around 300 whp

any imput would be much appreciated

again thanks

If everything is running fine leave it alone. B-series engines are capable of safely handling 300 with stock internals.

Leave it as is if it is running fine. Don't touch the P28. It doesn't matter what ECU is in the car as long as it is chipped with the proper MAPs. Leave the transmission alone.

I just reread where you said it WASN'T chipped. How is it boosted and not chipped or running some kind of piggyback system? How do you KNOW it's not chipped?

You probably have a chip with a baseline tune on it since the P28 is NOT the correct ECU for that engine in it's stock form.
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE (that includes driving it)....call a tuner. You will need a real tune and not a baseline MAP on a chip. You should be running some kind of EMS like Neptune or Hondata.
