Default Dashboard brake light

Hi,

The dashboard brake light appears whenever the weather gets cold. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions please?

thanks

Have you checked the brake fluid level? If it's low could be an indication that your pads are worn.

Seen this post somewhere before.......Which "brake" light, can we assume it is the one like when the e-brake is on.....or is this the one on the "car icon".

Check all your lights work. I've come across on my previous Accords that dirty and corroded sockets and bulbs cause an intermittent bulb out, which triggers the light on the dash.

Check your bulbs and sockets, clean if necessary and replace any that look like they may be getting old.

Try that first. Like you said, it's mostly in the cold, so I think you've probably just got a corrosion issue which is easily fixed.

Let us know what you find.

Since you just said it's the e-brake light, completely disregard my first post.
