I'm currently looking for a cold air intake for my '91 Civic DX Hatch, but I'm not sure on which would be a good one to get. I was going to get an AEM one, but then my cousin said a cheap ebay or auto zone one will do the same job. . . is this true? The Motor is stock, and is still DPFI as I am gonna get a swap once tax season rolls around. I would like an intake that I can use for my a b16 too, once I swap.

Any Suggestions?

 

ebay one is just a cheap throw on. don't get me wrong theyre alright. i've been using an ebay one for years now. it's really up to you if you want to spend the 200 or whatever on aem. for now though, as dpfi i'd suggest just a cheap one until you get your swap.

 

Don't waste your money on AEM. Usually when people buy AEM is because it's C.A.R.B. Approved(California Only). The cheap knock off on ebay will do just fine. It's just a metal pipe with an air filter.
