Default Anyone have experience with Summit Racing's Wheel Vintiques Drag Wheels?

I was looking through my Summit Sport Compacts catalogue and came across Wheel Vintiques 06P Race Wheels. They're priced fairly cheap, and come with a universal 4 bolt pattern. They look just like a spare wheel, nothing fancy.

Has anyone tried, seen, or have these wheels? Any input would be appreciated.

I just can't wait 3-4 weeks for the Bogarts, so today I ordered a set of these wheels from Summit Racing. The racing season here in MN is coming to an end, and I'm in desperate need of something fast.

I guess I'll post my opinions once I recieve the rims and try them out at the track.

Anybody else?

if you're gonna spend money on that, why not just get some stock steelies? Works the same and can fit 8" slicks on them.

I'm sure you're not making enough power to be using some big sized slicks liek some 25" or something.

The rims came in today. They're HEAVY.

Mounted & balanced my 22x8x15 M/T ET Drag slicks onto them, and weighed them. Together, the combo weighed 35lbs EACH!!!! Dang.....those 15x7 steel rims are heavy.

Oh well, guess I'll probably try them out this weekend. Can someone remind me about the downsides of a heavy wheel?
