Hey H-T I have a 2000 Acura Integra GSR. Today I went to go unlock my car and the key wouldn't respond. I unlocked my car using the hard key since my FOB wasn't working. Once I unlocked my car the alarm started going off. I read a thread telling me how to disable my immobilizer. I did it and it worked, my car started right up. Keep in mind my FOB is still not working. Went to a friends house, went to start the car it turned over and sounded like it was misfiring bad so i shut it off. Anyone have any thoughts on what the reason for this is? Please let me know.

Pretty sure a dead batt, in the "key fob" is not going to result in engine misfiring.

It sounds like OP has two (2) problems, one is most likely as mentioned, a dead batt. in remote, [key fob] the other is the misfire and unlikely to be related to the dead batt.

Now to be clear are we talking about a stock alarm system or an aftermarket system?

Also if it is the stock "immobilizer", [transponder key], then there is no batt., if ir is a remote control for OEM or aftermarket alarm then there will be a batt.

So question is... is it an OEM immobilizer, [transponder key] or an OEM alarm with remote control "fob" or is this an aftermarket alarm? 94
