CD Changer Installation for 93 Civic EX Coupe
Hi all,
This is my first message to the this board
I am trying to install a SONY 10 CD changer to my 93 Civic EX Coupe. I connected the modulator box to the radio antenna of the factory installed cassette player. Now my question is where to get the power for the modulator box. I am sorry if this is a really basic question
I haven't done this kind of stuff before.
My guess is the connectors under the fuse box.... Is this correct? If so, which ones? There are 5 of those there. What sort of adapters I would need to connect the 3 cables (red, black, yellow) coming out of the modulator box?
Thanks very much for any help.
Cheers!

Well black goes to ground.....chassis that is....the red goes to acc the yellow to batt....one of the plugs will show 12vts without moving the key switch that is battery...another will show voltage when the switch in in accessory...use a female spade connector to complete the job and enjoy the tunes.

Thanks a lot for the reply.
I assume I am getting the power from the fuse box, right? Just to set the record straight, are we talking about the 5 "optional terminals" under the dash fuse box, directly above the fuses? They are numbered 5-4-1-2-3. Currently, I have a headlight warning buzzer installed in ports 2 and 3.
Which one of these do you think I would need to connect the CD changer.
As I said sorry for the newbie questions; trying to learn these things
Thanks a lot!

well you need a multimeter or tester...one of the plugs will show voltage always when the car is off...connect the yellow wire to this one..this is your battery connection...another will show voltage in the acc or run position...connect the red wire to this one..dont cut off the fuses that are in the harness. Just trying to make it as simple as possible.
