clutch line question
after swapping an engine on my cb7 5spd i keep bleeding the clutch and no more air is coming out of the slave. but the pedal still feels spongy. i want to remove the clutch damper in order to remove one less probable cause from the hydraulic clutch system.
i already have the ss clutch hose that replaces the rubber stock hose. that being said im wondering what kind of flares and size fittings the clutch line utilizes around the clutch dampener because im doubting the ss line is long enough to make the correct bends and attach to the hard line. im considering replacing the entire hard/soft line with one long ss line but i have heard that these lines are notorious for leaking.
if i must i want to make a hard line to better attach the oem hard line to the oem soft/ss line. i have the flaring tool, tube bender and cutter. what size fittings do i need for the clutch lines and are the ends single or double flared?
-also any common auto parts stores that carry the metric fittings and/or unions. i have heard of people using the sea unions on the metric fittings and had success but i dont want to have to resort to using the wrong size and end up stuck on the side of the road
i think i need 3/16" tubing though correct me if im wrong there. if i cant find fittings i will attempt to reuse the old ones
