Which bulb are you using in your JDM lights now (9005/6)?

FWIW, you'll get more than enough light - probably more usable light - by switching to 9011/9012 lamps.

If you use HID on your lows, you'll be creating a safety issue for oncoming cars. With the highs it'll mostly cause you problems with increased reflections and glare where they don't belong - reducing pupil size and your ability to spot hazards farther away.

There are legitimate reasons they're illegal for retrofit into equipment not designed for HID.

Just sayin - take care, bro.

so will they fit? the deminsions are nearly the same. im jus worried if i buy them they wont stay in place or clip in if you get what i mean.

yea i also looked in to that, the guy said he didnt have any trouble's with them but if i do i could always jus sell them again as they are very cheap

I don't know the answer to your question - can you take / post a pic of the bulb?

Congrats! Most eBay housings are H4 so I would say Google and see how you can make it fit. It could be as simple as shaving a piece off/down or as complex as re-doing the whole thing entirely. I had a buddy who had extra bulbs and fogs so he just cut all the plastic and JB Welded it into the new plastic housing (black part where wires plug into) to make it fit. Hasn't had a problem since through snow, rain and sun.

I don't exactly approve, but if it works, it works I guess lol. If you decide to go that route, just make sure you don't allow any leaks because you don't want condensation.

this is going to be trouble but ill try to explain =/

so you want hid in your jdm one piece? just like you want aftermarket tail lights for your 4 door da? (ew i dont jus a example)
for some reason the guys in japan have made it hard so its not just a bolt on jobby.
im not sure why you cant get tail lights? but meh
as for the jdm one piece they dont have seprate bulb's for hi and low beam they use a double filliment bulb for that purpose.
so i myself am goin to go with hid's over the stock lights which mean's i will have no high beam. i dont think im guna be loosing to much as my other half is a 85 mitsibishi ute with crap lights an it does fine.

so what do you guy's think? did i even make sense? hmmmm....

any thoughts? has any one did this?
