1990 ef....got fire...got fuel...timing good....wont crank...need help
i swapped a D15z1 with a obd0 to obd1 wiring harness into my 1990 ef civic....i have spark and i have fuel and timing is good....just wont start....any things comes to mine....i feel like i have tried everything...any suggestions?
The car is not a si or hf the d15z1 came out of a vx.....using a z6 dizzy....the car has spark and fuel...and turns over just won't start...
If your spark, fuel, timing and compression are good the engine will run.
So you're going to have to go back over what you did to diagnose it the first time, because one of those things isn't working right.

First things first. Did u do the DPFI to mpfi conversion correctly? Any check engine light? I'm betting you will have a code 4.
I make a full plug n play conversion harness if u are interested.
Yes it will not run...I have check 3 out of 4 things I have not check compression...I will do that today...there is a check engine light on but I don't know what code is being thrown...and the main relay is clicking on that was one of the first things I checked...yes I run the harness for the obd0-obd1 for the dizzy...and I get spark...
I asked this because majority of the people I make a DPFI to obd1 harness for don't realize that the ecu jumpers found on eBay are made for cars that have already been converted to mpfi or come mpfi from factory. You are still required to do the conversion before the ecu jumper will work.

unless you have a z6 head you arent useing a z6 dizzy it has a specific bolt pattern. make sure its the right dizzy.....i just ad my d15b2 dizzy explode on me and went through all of this. i could be wrong about the z6 dizzy but from what ive seen it has a specific bolt pattern for the z6 head.
You need to check what dizzy you have. Because that could be your issue. the z6 distributor is a unique bolt pattern versus every other version on the d.
I just put my friends dizzy in my car....he has a d16zc motor obd1 1993 civic eg....and my car still did not run....and then I went and put his dizzy back in his car and then his car would not run....I am so confused????
Lol, that sucks. Probably fried his coil.
The instructions that came with your jumper harness should tell you what wire needs to be grounded to retrieve codes. The wire you're looking for is the SCS wire.

If it's a decent harness jumping the stock service connector in the bay should show you the codes through the CEL on the dash. Can't hurt to try rather than looking at documentation
You find anything about the compression? You could have spart, fuel, and timing, no compression, or low compression, and it wont start, trust me, had a blown head gasket took forever to figure it out.
i check the compression ...155 all the way across.....only thing i know is the dizzy might be bad....cause it messed up my friends dizzy...
What? How does a distributor mess up another distributor? No what happened is YOUR car fried his dizzy. Like someone else mentioned, possibly fried his ignitor. You need to address your codes OP.
The only codes it is throwing is 21 and 22.....and if I am not mistaking...them codes are vtec codes...and vtec should not stop the car from running...
