Default My $100 2000 GSR

First off im glad to finally be able to use my user on this forum, this is my first Acura I've ever owned but definately not my first to work on. Im a 3rd year apprentice at a well known Firestone shop in Ontario, and at the age of 22 I needed a dd that actually runs. I have no current pictures of it but I can tell you it hasn't been maintained at all...... I will be focusing at maintenance first aswell as getting the stock appearance back to mint. So far I've replaced the dented in r/s fender, the cracked exhaust manifold and fixed the downpipe leak, and seafoamed it. I have a stock pile of parts for it, but with tire season its hard to get any time. My past cars include a BP-T replica 94 Escort gt, and a KLDE swapped ford escort wagon. These I do have pictures of just to show im not new to the game, especially at thinking outside of the box.
Before.....

2 Hours of cleaning.....

And after custom ksports, custom 2.5" exhaust I bent at my work, custom 2.5" intercooler piping, HKS blow off valve, HKS turbo timer, Turboxs boost controller, BPT turbo kit (stock austrailian tx3), rota cicuits, and a bunch of other parts

And my last ford escort I ever will build

Was my first car, had a rebuilt 1.9L I did back in highschool, and when I was 18 built a cone filter adapter, test pipe, and modified an exp header. For the swap it had Eibach springs, and a no name strut bar

So worked on the gsr today, plugs were at 0.095 thou.... should be 0.047 so i put new ngk plus and wires in and a new cap/rotor + fuel filter. As far as having my work cut out, once you see the pictures you'll see I got the deal of the century

Enjoy! Engine and transmission has 207,000kms on it, the interior has no rips/tears in absolute mint condition after cleaning it. Exterior needs more love, plan on washing waxing, polishing compound scratches, and then clay bar. Hood has a rust spot, L/R quater has a penny size surface rust, underneath is mint no rust.

Would've cost the customer too much to repair. The scrapper offered them 100, and I didn't want that to happen.

Hood, rear bumper, front bumper (both been banged up badly) r/f fender was pushed in, rf caliper seized, front brakes (90 percent worn), l/f wheel bearing (humming), needed tires (had a set lying around), ignition coil (didn't start), full tune-up, wheel alignment, l/f lower control arm bent (causing the wheel to be pushed into fender) and I think thats it

Still a good pick up for that price. If you do all the work yourself 1k will have it streetable again and the overall price will still be a great deal

Yup, so far 550 into it. Need another 450 to get it in better condition. Plan on repainting valve cover and replacing gasket. Also need to figure out why a/c not working.
