Hey folks, I have an SIR front end conversion for my CRX and I wanted to get some fog lights so I decided to get a set of 89 Prelude lamps as they look very similar to the OEM fogs built for the CRX. the only thing I noticed after getting them though is that the depth of the Prelude fogs seem to be 13/16" too deep (fig 1).... it would require me to cut the back of the fog slots in the bumper to make these fit. Does anyone with a set of OEM CRX fogs know if you have to cut the back of the bumper (fig 2) or do you just need to make holes up top of the fog slots (fig 3) for the bracket and wiring. I realize that either way i'll have to cut the bumper but if there is significantly less cutting required in the case of the OEM CRX fogs I would feel better with this option.
