Default What part is this?

1989 3rd Generation Fuel Injected 4ws Prelude

I borrowed the pic from another post. The part in question is circled in white above fuel injectors. It is the cap.

On my engine, there is duct tape with some rubber gasket. I can hear it sucking in air there when the engine is running.

What part is this and what does it do? Thanks, I'm a newbie.

Ah I believe that would explain my fluctuating idle. I'm guessing I have to go to the junkyard for this piece or would a parts store have it?

These things are a dime a dozen at the junkyard dude. To test, just use a vacuum pump w/ gauge and apply some vacuum to it and it should hold and not bleed off. If it holds buy it. Prolly 19.99 at the junkyard or less.
