I am selling my complete stock D16y7 non-vtec engine out of my 1999 Honda Civic DX (basically a TURN KEY SWAP)..it is a 1.6 liter hence d16
Engine/Transmission have 134,980 on them and was running completely fine up until I decided to tear the car down and part out pieces!
both vin plates are intact on the engine/tranny (will show you the carfax in person of the history of the car/engine)
I have babied my car/engine since I have owned it (bought it in 06 with 85k on it and before me was the 1st owner which was an older woman for her work commute). I have never abused this engine and have never taken it passed 5k RPM. Always shifted low to get the max MPG's out of it, which I was getting around ~34MPG consistently on it. I took care of all maintence on this car/engine and made sure every bolt was placed and was done correctly! This engine has never let me down ever!!!! Engine has never been in an accident or taken into high water...never been modified or abused!
Preventative Maintance Done:
-Oil was changed with quality oil and a fram filter every 3k (changed the drain plug ever 3rd oil change)
-Replaced the spark plugs/rotor/cap/spark plug wire in sept. 09
-Air filter was changed in March 09
-REPLACED CLUTCH with a complete with OEM HONDA components from clutch to pilot bearing and rear main seal and axle seals/honda MTF only used in it! this was 10/09
^I literally only drove the car less then 100 miles after changing it because I picked up another car and has been garaged ever since. I would occassionally take the car around the neighborhood and start it up to keep it moving and make sure it was still in perfect working order! This engine does not burn oil or leak..transmission shifts perfect..no grinds and shifts like new..
Now I plan on selling this engine with everything needed and extras:
1.Manual Axles 2. Manual Transmission with *NEW* OEM clutch 3. A/C compressor and all lines for 96-00 civic 3. Powersteering pump 4. Alternator 5. Stock and untouched wire harness to and also the ecu (99-00 obd2b) 6. All sensors 7. Complete D16y7 longblock 8. Distributor 9. Engine Mounts 10. Shift Linkage 11.Header 12. Intake 13. Fuel Rail and injectors
Im including everything so if you dont need a part then buy it and part it out..I dont care to have to resale stuff and have it occupying necessary space!
Im selling it with basically everything needed to swap into your 96-00 civic and extra comforts of the engine..I prefer not to part out. I want it all gone together to make life easier and clear space up all at once! I know all the history on this engine and have babied it... I have taken the upmost care on it and know this engine has alot of life in it..
CONS:
I did take the the ICM inside of the distributor for another car recently so that will be needed for it to turn on..can buy it new or used for cheap so shouldnt be an issue for you! I also recommend replacing the timing belt soon due to age/mileage! Nothing wrong with it and can be inspected but I personally would change it to ensure another 100k safe on it! I never got to it and since I didnt drive it much after I got my other car I didnt feel the need to..still has all original components in it!
*****ALSO I dont have a hoist or anybody to help load this so be sure to bring necessary help and tools to get it into your car! I am not a delivery service and will not meet! I will meet you and bring you to where its being stored!

Si gauge cluster not included..only used to show the mileage which I kept consistent with my dx cluster! Im really **** about stuff like that so I made sure I kept it less then 10 miles around it!
Basically getting everything needed for a 96-00..bascially 90% of parts in the engine compartment so I feel price is fair..
