Viper 5901 Remote start not working
OK so for the last 4 days i've been trying to figure this out. I installed the alarm and everything on the alarm part works great. Parking lights, siren, door locks and unlocks, temp check, hood pin and trunk blah blah.. but the the Remote start I just can't figure out! I re-read over and over this Page http://www.team-integra.net/forum/17...age-2-a-2.html on TI and MorningZ gave an awesome explanation.. how ever i'm still having some problems. At first I had my friend on the phone with me and he said I needed to teach the car the sequence , press brake, turn on, pull parking brake and let go of brake or something like that, and then I put it on automatic trans mode and the tach on. Tried to remote start and it wanted to start but as soon as it was going to crank, i heard a buzzing and it didn't start. Then like 10 seconds later the remote said " remote start error" and it didn't flash any times, maybe only 1 time?
I then tried again and as soon as it was about to crank I heard the buzzing/relay clicks in the Brain and it cranked for not even a second and didn't start and now it just won't crank at all and doesn't even want to start.. IF in Manual trans mode, I just get code 7 . If in automatic mode, the remote says " remote start on" but car doesn't start and remote stays "on" for about 30 seconds then "remote start error" but not blinks/code... I've spent countless hours trying to figure this out...
quoting from TI:
Wires to note for remote start functionality:
- H1/8: the alarm needs to *not* see a ground on this wire
- H3/1: goes to the Teg's Black/Yellow ignition wire
I wired the H1/8 and H1/9 wires to the Lt Grn/Red wire in the kick panel for the dome light/door and left H1/6 not connected to anything..
I also have H3/6 and H3/9 hooked up to the white power wire from the ignition.. are these not suppose to have constant power?
Also, I have the newer version of the 5901 with the 18 pin remote start harness as opposed to the older with the 2, 5 pin plugs and the 8 pin "H2" plug..
Also, I wired the remote start aux wires
ORANGE (-) 200mA ACCESSORY OUTPUT
VIOLET (-) 200mA STARTER OUTPUT
PINK (-) 200mA IGNITION 1 OUTPU
to H3/3 H3/4 and H3/5 matching their colors, is this correct?
Yes my Ebrake wire is hooked to the Ebrake, yes my Brake shutdown wire is hooked up to the green/white wire on the brake switch, yes my clutch neutral safety switch is bypassed, and yes my hood pin and tach wires are connected.. whats wrong here? I'm whiling to give more information if needed..
