If you swapped it out with a known working one, and it still runs crappy then I doubt it will do anything...

As for the running like a POS when EACV harness is unplugged - that will happen. Honda's don't like it when that thing is unplugged.

If you still want to clean it, get some oxygen sensor safe (don't know brand) carb/choke cleaner. Pull the EACV completely off - you'll see two holes that mate up to the intake manifold. Spray the cleaner inside those holes... Let it soak in there for 5 min. Then pour it all out, repeat a couple times till it's nice and clean in there. ALSO - make sure that the little rubber gasket is in good condition (goes between EACV and intake manifold) if it's cracked/hard, replace it!

If it still bounces, play around with the idle adjust screw a little bit - sometimes that can calm it down....

If that doesn't fix it, maybe I'll have to take a road trip up to Canada and help you out! haha j/k

How's your project going?

warm up your car til when it idles like ****..... then reset ecu by pulling the "hazard" fuse from the under hood fuse box for 10+ seconds.. then put it back in and start up the car..

if it still idles like ****.. youhave a vacuum leak.

i pull hazzard fuse while car running or shut off when idling bad then pullling it?

yeah it was off my freinds engine so we dont know for sure if it is working. I donno what else it could be. if it is a vacuum leak it is small cause when i disconnect a hose like lets say to the choke it bounces from 1000-3000 ish so it has to be l**** half the size of the hose.

I took the head off and then put it back on and this happend didnt even take out intake mani or unhook the wires.

It does idle perfect with the EACV unhooked. i gotta get a rpm switch to turn it one when i hit....... JK

My project is a dead. Im getting the car ready to seel and buying a cheaper one.

I can sell mine for 5500-6000 cdn and buy a kitted CRX with rims and paint etc for 5000 but the motor is a DX so then i just swap in a b18b turbo .

it means you have small vacuum leak maybe.. check all the vacuum lines.. take them off and inspect every one.
